A new brand for Bond Personnel

Development sketch

Development sketch

Bond Personnel is a Australian recruitment firm that specialised in providing services to the mining service industry.

Several concepts where forwarded and this solution was selected because it best represents the unique paths that people use to network and connect. A custom font was also developed. The new brand has been applied to printed, digital and signing materials.

Many thanks to the Bond team for being a positive force in the development and roll out.

It takes every kind of people to make the world go round

Robert Allen Palmer (19 January 1949 – 26 September 2003), born in Batley, Yorkshire, was an English singer-songwriter, in some circles he was known as the best dressed man in rock and roll. He was also known for his distinctive voice and the eclectic mix of musical styles on his albums, combining soul, jazz, rock, pop and blues. Palmer’s career started in 1964 and came to an abrupt end in 2003, he was a keen cigarette smoker.

To make the point we have contrasted – Andy Fraser’s – Every Kind of People from album Double Fun, with Gary Numan’s – I dream of Wires, on Numan produced album Clues.

Something to listen to on a Sunday

As fore mentioned in clip two – I love The Smiths I think they are brilliant.

“The Headmaster Ritual” is the lead track off “Meat Is Murder”, the second studio album by the British alternative rock band The Smiths. The dual between Johnny Marr’s guitar and Andy Rourke’s bass on this song is a compelling rift, which resonates brilliantly from original to subsequent covers.

A new studio publication set is nigh…

Publication set covers – printer’s mockups

Publication set covers – printer’s mockups

It has been another modest start to the year, and even though the Australian economy is running well as compared to other economies – the world of graphic design has been lack lustre. Many potential projects seem to be in a state of limbo, as many clients make sense of a nervous and risk averse market.

We are working on a raft of smaller projects, which chew up much of our head space, in between we have reviewed, drafted, scraped and redrafted a range of promotional outcomes, that present an interesting message while avoiding being too internally focused, or self indulgent.

A comprehensive yet prudent set of booklets had been developed that explores our graphic identity (brand) work and image design output. The booklets are being printed offset rather than in newsprint allowing for clean and highly detailed reproduction.

For clients, potential and new, interested in being in the first round of dispatch, please send Andrew an email for your copy to ideas (at) peoplethings (dot) com

There is much debate of tags and their place in the community. It is hard to walk past a tag with such whim.
