Less is yes

Mies van der Rohe‘s wonderful motto “Less is more“ has become one of the greatest clichés that is turned to when the “designer“ concept is on sold to the media and beyond. Never-the-less it is a motto that describes some of the best things in life that are so wonderfully simple in execution. Like the act of putting the lid of a tea pot on top of the handle, as illustrated, when in dining in a Chinese restaurant. Within no time at all, the empty pot is taken away and a fresh pot of hot tea is returned. Lovely — that is graphic communication for you.
